Leadership Education for African Development (LEAD Africa) was founded in 2004 by a team of highly skilled and committed social development professionals. LEAD Africa was registered in 2006, in Kenya, by the Non-Governmental Organization Board (NGO Board) as an NGO, without religious or political affiliations.

Our Vision is of African governments with the capacity to cause positive development transformation and a populace that holds their governments accountable.
Our Mission
The mission of LEAD Africa is to enhance leadership accountability in Governance in the East African region and the Horn of Africa. We will do this through the capacity development of leaders and of the populace, research, support for policy development, and advocacy.
